Getting Back & Forth
Here are a few suggestions for getting between the Radnor Hotel and the Villanova campus.
- By train - The SEPTA R5 "Paoli/Thorndale" train runs fairly regularly, with stops near the Radnor Hotel ("an easy half-mile walk" to the Radnor station, according to the Radnor Hotel folks). The train stops on the Villanova campus a short walk from the Connelly Center. [R5 Paoli/Thorndale train schedule]
- By foot from Villanova train station to Connelly Center -
Exit from the train and proceed onto the main campus. Walk under
an archway (Mendel Science Center) and Mendel Field will be on your
right. Turn left at the back of St. Thomas of Villanova Church
(the stone building with two spires). Continue walking down the
driveway through the open area. Connelly Center will be on your left.
You'll know you are in the right place if you see "The Oreo" sculpture,
which is in front of the Connelly Center.

- By ride share - If you have a car with one or more extra seats, or are in need of a ride to and from the conference, send an email to us with your offer or need, including contact information such as cell phone, email address or room number. We will do our best to match up offers and requests. You can also check at the conference registration table, where we plan to post ride sharing information.
- By taxi - The Radnor Hotel can assist you in arranging for a taxi to take you to Villanova, and sharing a taxi can be very cost-effective ($5-6 for one person, less if shared) for the 2.2 mile ride to Villanova.
- By bus - The SEPTA Route 105 bus runs hourly, with a stop directly across Lancaster Avenue from the Radnor Hotel, and two stops at Villanova (in front of St. Thomas of Villanova Church, and at the corner of Lancaster Ave. and Ithan Ave. with the Villanova stadium (and the Jake Nevin Field House) on the far left corner. From either bus stop it is an easy walk to the Connelly Center, using a map of Villanova as a guide. [Route 105 bus schedule]
- By foot from the Radnor Hotel all the way to Villanova - This mode of transportation is highly discouraged, as there are no sidewalks along much of the stretch of Lancaster Avenue between the hotel and conference location. Even though it is only slightly more than 2 miles, it is an unpleasant walk, even on a good day.
